According to last night’s Evening Standard:
“SAD makes people crave carbohydrates,” says Dr Bijlani. “But they cause blood sugar to rise and then dip dramatically, leading to mood swings.” Instead, feast on Brazil nuts as they are rich in selenium. Low daily intakes of this mineral appear to exacerbate low moods. Not recommended if you have or think you might have a nut allergy or dodgy teeth.
